Momentum AC recently completed a comprehensive HVAC roof modification project to ensure full code compliance and optimal system performance. The scope of work included disconnecting refrigerant lines, line voltage electrical wiring, and control wiring, followed by the reinstallation of condensing units on customer-supplied Aluma-stands. As part of the upgrade, new liquid lines, liquid line filter driers, and suction refrigeration lines with proper supports were installed. Refrigeration lines were brazed from the roof to the unit, and nitrogen testing was conducted to ensure leak-free operation. Additionally, new electrical disconnects and associated whips for conventional split systems were provided and installed, with final electrical connections completed by a licensed electrician. To meet code requirements, storm tie-down kits were also installed for added safety and durability.
For projects involving multiple units, Momentum AC ensures meticulous documentation by labeling each unit and its corresponding components, including model and serial numbers, location within the home, and the age and year of the equipment. Detailed photographs of the air handler, condenser, breaker box, disconnect box, and air handler closet were taken from various angles to provide a comprehensive visual record. This attention to detail and commitment to code compliance highlights Momentum AC dedication to delivering professional, high-quality HVAC solutions tailored to customer needs.
