Installation Work
In this residential HVAC project, our team replaced multiple outdated HVAC systems with a powerful Grandaire 14.5 SEER2 5-ton unit to improve efficiency and cooling capacity. The work involved removing and discarding two older air handlers and condensers (dating back to 2004 and 2013) and flushing the refrigerant piping to ensure a clean and optimized setup. We installed the new 5-ton air handler and condenser along with auxiliary heat, new condenser pads, hurricane anchors, and a UV light system. Additionally, we tied the existing ductwork and electrical into the new system, sealed the supply and return plenum, and reinstalled pipe insulation per code. The project also included upgrades like a straight-cool thermostat, redundant overflow safety switches, and a secondary drain pan to ensure long-term efficiency and compliance with building codes. As part of our service, we provided a 10-year manufacturer’s parts warranty and a 1-year labor warranty for peace of mind.
Duct Work
The duct work involved rehanging 33 supply boots and grills to align with the newly installed system, ensuring proper air distribution throughout the home. Our team also replaced a return plenum for one of the existing systems to improve airflow and efficiency. By addressing these essential components, the duct system was optimized to complement the performance of the new HVAC unit, providing consistent and reliable cooling throughout the property.
Heavy Repair
The heavy repair portion of the project focused on addressing specific issues with older systems in the home. For a 2010 5-ton system, we installed new hanging kits for the pan, reinsulated the drain lines, and replaced a 70/5 capacitor. Additionally, we installed float switches for overflow protection, resealed the system with insulation, and performed a deep cleaning of the condenser coil to restore optimal performance. For another 2012 2.5-ton system, we reinsulated the drain line, resealed the system, and added a UV light kit to enhance air quality. Across the board, these repairs ensured that the systems were running safely and efficiently, extending their lifespan and improving overall functionality.
This comprehensive project highlights our ability to handle everything from complete system installations to detailed duct work and heavy repairs. Our team’s expertise ensures that every component of the HVAC system works seamlessly to deliver comfort and energy efficiency for years to come.
